Ivan Eremeev took part in the session “Investing in Cyber Stability”, presenting a comprehensive approach to cyber risk protection.
On 4 September 2025, during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Ivan Eremeev of RC Insurance Broker joined the session “Investing in Cyber Stability: Applying a Risk-Oriented Approach to the Traditional Cybersecurity Model” as an invited expert.

The session addressed the challenges facing systemically important companies and key sectors of the economy as cyberattacks continue to increase in both frequency and scale. The discussion focused on systematic approaches to risk assessment, technologies and tools for forecasting potential consequences, and the prioritization of protective measures.
In his presentation, Ivan Eremeev identified a risk-based approach as the foundation of an effective cyber risk protection strategy. He emphasized that such an approach requires an integrated system for forecasting, identifying, analyzing and assessing potential threats, particularly as the risk landscape continues to evolve.

CIRMP was presented as one of the tools capable of supporting this approach. The digital platform brings together a broad range of solutions for effective, centralized risk management, scenario modeling and decision support. By combining modules addressing different categories of risk, the platform could help manage threat levels across entire sectors of the economy, reduce the potential scale of adverse consequences and solve problems at the national level.
Ivan Eremeev also highlighted cyber insurance as another practical financial instrument for strengthening corporate cyber resilience.
“Insurance is an essential component of the cybersecurity economy. It is also an accessible instrument. At current premium rates, insurance costs for large systemically important companies would account for no more than 3% of their total annual cybersecurity expenditure” — said Ivan Eremeev.
He noted that the Russian insurance market is actively adapting to emerging risks and changing client needs. Drawing on its flexibility and broad range of expertise, RC Insurance Broker not only structures insurance programs but also develops custom solutions in collaboration with specialists from the insurance, legal, IT and other professional communities.
He further emphasized that, when properly structured, cyber insurance is an effective solution capable of covering substantial corporate losses.

“Claims are being paid. This year, RC Insurance Broker successfully handled its first major cyber loss through to the payment of approximately 200 million rubles in insurance compensation. There are still relatively few such cases because the market remains small, and the information involved is highly sensitive” — noted Ivan Eremeev.
In conclusion, Ivan Eremeev stressed that cyber insurance is currently undergoing active development and that the flexibility of the insurance market makes this an opportune time for businesses to begin incorporating the product into their risk management strategies.
