The 23rd Professional Forum “Risk Management — New Challenges”, organized by the Russian Risk Management Society, has concluded in Kazan.

During the “Cyber Insurance” discussion, Alexey Stark, representing RC Insurance Broker, highlighted a shift in the cyber threat landscape: attackers are increasingly moving away from the well-protected perimeters of major corporations and targeting their more vulnerable counterparties instead.

The expert noted that up to 35% of Russian companies have already been affected by attacks carried out through their partners, and that this trend is continuing to intensify in 2026. Such vulnerabilities pose significant risks to business continuity and can result in multimillion-ruble losses that are not always covered by standard insurance programs.

Comprehensive protection requires specialized cyber insurance. Drawing on its extensive market experience, RC Insurance Broker develops tailored solutions that enable clients to manage these emerging risks effectively.

“Cyber insurance covers not only direct losses resulting from an attack, but also investigation costs, data recovery, legal support, business interruption, third-party liability and a wide range of other related expenses, making it an important component of modern business resilience” — noted Alexey Stark.
