Ivan Eremeev, Alexey Pavelko and Ivan Shvyryaev presented practical case studies and analytical solutions for assessing and transforming insurance risks.
The annual Corporate Insurance 2025 conference was held in St. Petersburg on 22–23 May, bringing together members of the professional community, including insureds, brokers, risk managers, legal professionals and representatives of key sectors of the economy. RC Insurance Broker served as the event’s Principal Partner and presented a number of practical case studies and research initiatives.

The company’s speakers — Ivan Eremeev, Alexey Pavelko and Ivan Shvyryaev — focused on several key areas shaping the transformation of the insurance market: the development of D&O insurance, project risk management and engineering analysis.
Executive liability and protection against related risks were central to one of the conference’s key presentations. Ivan Eremeev, Managing Director of the Financial Risks and Liability Insurance Department at RC Insurance Broker, shared the latest analysis of the D&O insurance market and announced plans to publish Russia’s first comprehensive review of legal and insurance practice in this field.
“These risks affect every company. They are no longer merely potential threats but recurring real-world cases, and businesses need to address them systematically. D&O insurance is an essential component of corporate protection, not an optional extra” — noted Ivan Eremeev.
He also identified one of the principal barriers to the development of this segment: the lack of accessible risk information and limited awareness among end clients of the insurance mechanisms available to protect them.
Alexey Pavelko, Deputy Director of RC Insurance Broker, focused on insurance for construction-related investment and infrastructure projects. He highlighted several persistent challenges, including the lack of alignment between investors’ requirements and the realities of the insurance market, as well as the complexities involved in structuring insurance programs for debt-financed projects.

“Insurance arrangements for externally financed projects must not merely be aligned with the project but designed with a greater degree of precision from the outset. This has a direct impact on the project’s overall resilience” — emphasized Alexey Pavelko.
Ivan Shvyryaev, Head of Risk Engineering at RC Insurance Broker, addressed the practical role of risk surveys in the insurance of industrial facilities. He presented the company’s experience in identifying and mitigating risks during preliminary inspections and explained how the implementation of risk engineering recommendations can affect insurance pricing and insurers’ willingness to provide cover.

Particular attention was given to emerging areas of risk mitigation, including exposures associated with import substitution and drone strikes. Effective engineering assessments have helped prevent substantial financial losses.
RC Insurance Broker’s participation in Corporate Insurance 2025 marked more than an important professional milestone: it reflected the changing role of the broker within the market. Today, an insurance broker does more than negotiate policy terms. It designs the overall architecture of insurance protection, combining analytics, legal expertise and support throughout every stage of the process.
The company demonstrated an approach in which insurance becomes an integral part of the client’s business strategy, supported by clearly defined metrics, transparent terms and proactive risk management.
